Today marks a significant step in our continued commitment to education in Sekondi.
As promised, we are providing learning materials to help children in basic education with their studies. I am proud to officially launch the distribution of 300,000 free exercise books to public and private basic schools across the Sekondi Constituency and beyond.
This initiative is intended to ease the financial burden on parents and help ensure that pupils have the basic learning materials they need to succeed in school.
Education is the foundation of our future, and no child should be disadvantaged because of a lack of essential educational materials.
In addition, we are providing 700 free trunks and 700 free chop boxes to students placed in boarding schools, as well as free daily transportation for day students.
These interventions are aimed at easing pressure on parents, particularly during challenging economic times, while ensuring that students have the support they need from basic education through secondary school.
Education should not be a burden. It should be a bridge to a better future.
